Cheryll is the General Manager of Volunteering Auckland and has nearly 30 years experience in facilitating training in volunteer management practices at Volunteering Auckland. As an organisation that has volunteers helping you do what you do on a day-to-day basis, assisting you to achieve your purpose, you will have a good understanding of the difference volunteers make for your organisation and those you support or your cause.

Are you able to describe that impact for others? For volunteers themselves? For those you support, or your cause? For your organisation? For other external stakeholders?

Impact is the change that happens because of volunteering. Impact measurement is gathering data, information and stories and analysing what this means for different stakeholders. It can help you communicate to volunteers the importance of their work and understand the impact volunteers have for your organisation. It also provides data, information, and stories you can share with external stakeholders.

In this workshop we will:

• Explore volunteer impact measurement – what is it, different types and what are the benefits
• Get clear on why you are wanting to measure volunteer impact.
• Share a framework for planning your project.

Fundraising is a vital source of income for non-profits, particularly in today’s challenging times. But how can you maximise your fundraising efforts on a tight budget?

Good communication is an integral part of any successful fundraising strategy. By effectively sharing your stories and communicating your impact, you can gain, retain and build trusting, loyal donor relationships.

In this free workshop for non-profits, fundraising consultant Anita Lee will outline the key functions of strategic fundraising, explore how effective communications can help you achieve your fundraising goals, and share some of the best communications tools and tactics to help you grow and nurture your supporter base.

This will be an interactive session with lots of time for questions and discussion, so come ready for action.

About Anita:

With more than 25 years’ experience in fundraising, Anita Lee has worked nationally and internationally for a range of charities supporting individual giving fundraising programmes. As the former Market Development Manager for Save the Children International, Anita worked to push the case for fundraising and has helped launch strategic investment programmes at a local and international level. Anita also has a wealth of technical expertise including direct marketing campaigns, legacy development, lead generation and conversion. Her current clients include Save the Children International, Forest & Bird, Diabetes NZ and Arthritis NZ.
