VolunteerNow is an online resource of volunteering opportunities in New Zealand which on one side enables Volunteer Centres and other national organisations to list their volunteer positions and on the other it attracts individuals who are able to register as volunteers for these positions. Community Central

This is a collaborative project between Volunteering NZ and four other partners; NZ Federation of Voluntary Welfare Organisations, ANGOA, NZ Council of Social Services and Centre for Social and Health Outcomes Research and Evaluation. It is an online webspace for use by the community and voluntary sector providing various cutting edge web features such as e-newsletters, discussion fora, private workspaces, cross sector projects and blog.

Volunteering NZ is publishes its VNZ Update newsletter through Community central. Our Board has it's private workspace and there is also an active discussion group of the NZ volunteer managers. Join them today!

Promoting Generosity

This project is about bringing communities of interest together to talk about a sustainable, multi-sectoral approach to encourage and support giving and volunteering at both national and local levels. By bringing all the different sectors into the conversation, we hope to come up with some innovative, kiwi-made initiatives that will really make a difference and which build on work already underway throughout NZ.

The Hub has set up a discussion group on Community Central to stimulate discussion and help direct its work.  It wants to hear about New Zealanders’ experience of giving, what works and what doesn’t.

ComVoices

ComVoices is an independent network of Tangata Whenua and leading national community and voluntary organisations set up to promote and make visible the enormous contribution of the community and voluntary sector to New Zealand society. Its primary aim is to ensure the sector has a powerful and collaborative voice in the community and at Government level.

The coalition in which Volunteering NZ is one of the most active members is made up of national organisations that reach across all New Zealand society, and the individual organisations all communicate their views and issues to the group. The group works together through reflecting and promoting the value and common concerns of the sector through information, advocacy and dialogue as well as encourageing regional, national and cross-sector networking and information sharing.
